BITE INTO BOOKS is a grant-funded “Big Read” celebration designed to build community through a shared reading experience.

This spring, join your local library systems in reading Bite By Bite, Aimee Nezhukumatathil’s memoir about food and those we share it with.

BITE INTO BOOKS includes exciting events like a kickoff party at the West Side Market (Feb 28) and multiple visits with the author (Apr 29-30).

Participating libraries will also host book discussions, cooking workshops, open mic nights and other programs for all ages and appetites!

We’re giving away hundreds of copies of Bite By Bite and other food-forward reads. Visit our booth to get free books, share your food story, and learn about the programs and activities your local libraries are cooking up this spring.

Enjoy a unique tasting experience with award-winning author Aimee Nezhukumatathil. As you sample flavors, Aimee will guide you in a writing prompt to spark creativity and reflection. Together, we’ll explore how food and language can inspire new ways of seeing and storytelling.
